Origins and Collective Foundation

Since 2018, Lagrange Points has unfolded through pop-ups, pauses of reflection, and phases of development, carried by the energies of many people who imagined and built it step by step.

What began as a series of temporary interventions grew into a shared vision: a house where art, culture, and politics are part of everyday life. Launched by a wide collective of artists, producers, activists, and collectives from Palestine, Belgium, and the diasporas of Brussels, supported by partners in the cultural sector in Brussels and beyond.

Vision and Values

The project continues today with the commitment of its initiators and a wide constellation of artists, producers, activists, and collectives whose voices and practices shape its identity.

It is grounded in collaboration, nourished by diverse cultural practices, and strengthened by alliances with institutions that share the horizon.

New Home and Future Direction

Now, Lagrange Points finds its home in Brussels, opening in October 2025 with a soft phase until February 2026, allowing the space to grow gradually into full capacity. At Rue Laeken 157, it becomes a hybrid venue that brings together hospitality, curatorial programming, and collective practice across literature, film, music, performance, and design.

Rooted in Arab and diasporic culture yet open to the world, Lagrange Points is not just a place but an ecosystem, a living structure where books, dialogue, food, and performance intersect with the struggles and dreams that shape our times.

Its path is shaped by a steering collective that guides the vision, by the many collectives who bring their practices into the house, and by being powered by partners whose support and collaboration strengthen the work and extend its reach.
