TAFZ & Larange Points

During the benefit What Can We Do Together, the Belgian arts sector meets with several initiatives and members of the Palestinian community. Collectively, we will ask what we can do, on the day (30 March) which also marks Palestinian Land Day

13:00 - Doors open

14:00 - Panel talk and musical intermezzo 

The afternoon will kick off with a panel talk including Frank Barat, Feras Abo Dabboseh, Hildegard De Vuyst, Katrien De Ruysscher and Ann Overberg, and moderated by Sandra Sara Raes Oklobdzija. It will be followed by an open conversation with the audience and a musical intermezzo by Chloe Baeyens and Pema Flahaux.

16:15 - How To Work Together? 

Then, a number of Palestinian initiatives and artists will introduce themselves and their work to the Belgian arts and cultural sector. ‘How to Work Together’ will offer concrete proposals on collaborations: 

  • Towards Apartheid Free Zones with projects Monologues4Gaza (presented by Sara Oklobdzija), Solidariteitsgroepen (presented by Lieve Franssen) & The Big Switch (presented by Wouter Hillaert). 
  • Lagrange Points – Palestinian Cultural Center (presented by Mohsen Alzaher)
  • Palestine Museum – PalestinianArt & Heritage (presented by Tine Sherwell)
  • Mirsat (presented by Karen Elhaddad). Mirsat is a Brussels-based non-profit organisation founded in 2024. It builds bridges between the European cultural scene and artistic practices focused on the SWANA region..
  • Ismail Matar (video-expo)
  • Hussein Shamia (video-expo)
  • Hamada Elkept (video-expo)

17:15 - Readings of authentic texts and acoustic music

Choir (La Chorale de Jean) with Malika Hamri (Gaza Gazette), Ramzi Salem and Amel Sidiri (vocals). 

The afternoon at KVS concludes with readings of authentic texts, accompanied by acoustic music, performed by Belgian and Palestinian artists. 

18:30 - Dinner and closure at Lagrange Points

After the program, we invite you to meet for a dinner by Mohammed Zaza at Lagrange Points, the Palestinian cultural center just across KVS BOL. By contributing what you can for the homemade food, you will take a first step in supporting this Palestinian art center.
